The Economist Group has today (February 12th) announced that it has agreed to sell the Economist Complex to Tishman Speyer.
The Group put the complex on the market in October 2015 to part-fund a share buyback from Pearson plc. Located at 25 St James’s Street, London, the complex consists of three buildings containing office, residential and retail space. It was designed by architects Peter and Alison Smithson and building was completed in 1964.
The Economist currently occupies the top-four floors of the “Tower” building. This space will be leased back to the Group for a further 18 months.
